Who We Are
This website is operated by Mid-America Festivals Corporation (“we,” “us,” or “our”), the producer of the St. Louis Renaissance Festival. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information gathered through stlrenfest.com (the “Site”).
This policy covers the Site only. It does not cover information collected at the festival grounds itself — including security cameras, guest Wi-Fi, parking, lost and found, and photography or video of guests taken on site. For information about on-site practices, see the terms printed on your ticket and the signage posted at festival entrances.

Overview
We value your privacy. This policy describes what personal information we collect when you visit the Site, why we collect it, how it is used, and the choices you have. This policy is provided as notice of our practices. Where the law requires your consent for a particular activity, we ask for it separately — for example, through the cookie consent banner.
What Personal Data We Collect and Why
Forms. When you submit a form on the Site — for example, a contact, vendor, employment, or entertainment application form — we collect the information shown in that form. We may also collect your IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam submissions.
Cookies. When you visit the Site, we may set cookies to remember your preferences and settings, to keep you signed in where applicable, and to measure how the Site is used. See “Cookies We Use” below.
Embedded content from other websites. Pages on this Site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images, maps, and social posts). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
Ticket purchases. Tickets are sold through our third-party ticketing provider, Etix. When you buy tickets, the information you provide is processed by Etix under its own privacy policy (linked in “Third-Party Services We Use” below).
Loyalty and rewards program. If you choose to join our rewards program, it is operated by our third-party partner Renaissance Rewards (Loyalty Match). Information you provide to enroll and participate is processed by that provider under its own terms (linked in “Third-Party Services We Use” below).
Analytics and advertising services. We use third-party services to understand how visitors use the Site and to run our marketing, including Elementor, Google Analytics, Hive (email marketing), and AdRoll (advertising and retargeting). See “Third-Party Services We Use” below for links to their privacy policies.
Payments and Ticketing
Ticket sales and payments are handled by Etix and its payment processors. Your payment card information is collected and processed by those providers under their own privacy and security practices. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems.
Cookies We Use
- Functional cookies — required for the Site to operate correctly (page navigation, secure areas, and remembering preferences).
- Statistics cookies — help us understand how visitors interact with the Site by collecting information anonymously (Elementor, Google Analytics).
- Advertising cookies — used to show you our ads on other websites and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns (AdRoll).
- Marketing and tracking cookies — used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant content across sites.
- Social media cookies — set by social platforms whose content is embedded on or linked from the Site, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Pinterest, Reddit, and TikTok.
Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on the following third-party services to operate this Site and our marketing. Each service processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Etix — online ticketing and ticket purchases. Privacy policy: https://www.etix.com/ticket/privacy-policy.spa
- Hive — email marketing for live events. Privacy policy: https://www.hive.co/privacy
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- AdRoll — advertising and retargeting (a NextRoll service). Privacy policy: https://www.nextroll.com/privacy
- Renaissance Rewards (Loyalty Match) — loyalty and rewards program. Terms: https://renaissancerewards.com/home.action?mdl=mdlTerms
These providers may set their own cookies and collect information as described in their respective policies. We do not control how they use that data.

Analytics and Advertising Opt-Outs
You can limit interest-based advertising and analytics through the following tools:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out: https://optout.networkadvertising.org/
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out: https://optout.aboutads.info/
Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we use advertising and retargeting cookies, and the disclosure of information to those advertising partners may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under California and other state privacy laws. You can opt out — see “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” below.
We also share information with service providers who help us operate the Site and our marketing, including ticketing, email, analytics, and advertising partners. These providers are permitted to use that information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our guests, our staff, or the public.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We use advertising and retargeting cookies. This activity may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws, and may be considered targeted advertising under applicable state privacy law. You can opt out of this activity by any of the following methods:
- Use the cookie preferences tool on the Site to reject advertising and marketing cookies;
- Enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or other universal opt-out signal in your browser. We treat these signals as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device on which they are sent; or
- Email us at info@stlrenfest.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.”
A “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link is available in the footer of every page of the Site.
How Long We Retain Your Data
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.
- Form submissions and inquiries: up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, unless a longer period is needed for legal or business records.
- Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe, and then for up to 24 months in a suppression record so that we honor your opt-out.
- Ticket purchase records: retained by our ticketing provider under its own retention schedule.
- Analytics and advertising data: retained according to each provider’s standard retention periods.
Retention periods for specific categories are listed in the table under “Categories of Personal Information We Collect.”
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, and subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- Request that we correct or delete your personal data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data;
- Request that we export your data in a portable, standard format;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information and of targeted advertising.
These rights may arise under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or similar state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@stlrenfest.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law, generally within 45 days. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent’s authority, and we may ask you to verify your own identity directly with us before we act on the request.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing info@stlrenfest.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond to an appeal within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact the Missouri Attorney General’s Office at www.ago.mo.gov, or the attorney general in your state of residence.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Some pages of the Site describe activities and programming that families and children may enjoy. Those pages are directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not permit advertising or retargeting cookies to be set on pages we identify as directed to children.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@stlrenfest.com and we will delete it.
Email and Text Message Marketing
We use Hive to send marketing emails to people who opt in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. If you choose to receive text messages from us, message and data rates may apply and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing messages does not stop transactional messages such as ticket confirmations.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
When you first visit the Site, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies through the cookie consent banner. You can change your choices at any time through the Cookie Preferences link on the Site, or by adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
Links to Other Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including social media, sponsors, and vendors. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor data may be processed by our ticketing, analytics, and advertising providers, which may store and process information in the United States and other countries where those providers operate.
International Visitors
The Site is operated in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
How We Protect Your Data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
App Privacy Policy
The following applies to our mobile app, which is provided through our ticketing and app software platform provider, Etix.
What information do we collect?
We collect anonymous tracking information for analytics purposes only. Like many websites, we use “cookies” to gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the “Do we use ’cookies’?” section below for information about cookies and how we use them.
Do we use “cookies”?
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.
Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?
Non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, but we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties.
Questions and feedback
We welcome your questions, comments, and concerns about privacy. Please send any and all feedback pertaining to privacy, or any other issue, to us at info@stlrenfest.com

Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under the privacy laws of your state of residence.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. If we make material changes to how we handle personal information already collected, we will provide notice on the Site before those changes take effect.
