About the Renaissance Festival

The St. Louis Renaissance Festival is a long-standing event that brings you the adventure, excitement, and spirit of the Renaissance!

Travel back in time as you step into the beautifully wooded, 16th century French village we call Petit Lyon! Thrill to the exploits of Jousting Knights on thundering steeds. Roam the village shoppes for unique crafts as our artisans demonstrate period skills like blacksmithing and woodworking. Delight in comedy, music, magic, and more on our nine stages of non-stop entertainment! Feast on delicious food and drink from the far reaches of the globe, and interact with the colorful villagers, nobles, peasants and characters of ages past!

Children will love the petting zoo, games, and daily free activities. Adults will enjoy beer, wine, and mead at our three thematic pubs! There is truly something for everyone at the St. Louis Renaissance Festival! Huzzah!

Take I-70 West from STL (or Hwy 40 to I-70W) toward Wentzville to 61 North. Take the Wentzville Parkway exit. Turn Left onto Wentzville Parkway. At West Meyer Road turn right. Continue to Rotary Park on the Right.

About Mid-America Festivals

Mid-America Festivals is the nation’s largest producer of outdoor themed events. In 2014, we entertained nearly one million people in a wide variety of locations across the country.

Mid-America Festivals currently devotes its time towards developing some of the best festivals in the country. Mid-America Festivals, along with affiliated entities, owns and operates the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, the Trail of Terror (located in Minnesota), the Bay Area Renaissance Festival at MOSI (located on the grounds of the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa Bay, Florida), the Kansas City Renaissance Festival, the Michigan Renaissance Festival, St. Louis Renaissance Festival and many other events.  The company demonstrates its event production and promotion leadership by embracing all aspects of event production from specialty merchandise and corporate sponsorship to ticket sales and multi-media marketing.

Based in Minneapolis, Mid America’s staff is comprised of talented manager’s experiences in all aspects of entertainment. Mid-America Festivals began producing Renaissance Festivals in 1976 as a natural extension of its president’s career in major venue promotion and production. The company’s back ground ranges from rock and roll events like the Beach Boys, Rolling Stones, and Prince to event management for concerts like “Rock the Garden” in Minneapolis.

All film rights are reserved. Commercial use of photos, videos or audio tapes made at the festival 
without written permission from the Marketing Department is strictly prohibited. We prohibit the
use of video or photographic monopods or tripods unless authorized by MAF management. 

We are a No Drone Zone as well

Weapons Policy:

The Festival bans guns on our premise. Longbows are allowed as long as they are not strung,
arrows, with tips are not allowed unless you are competing in the longbow competition that day.
Swords, Knives, Dirks and Daggers must be completely sheathed and peace-tied. Axes, Claymores, Maces, Antique Firearms, Pikes and Halberds are NOT allowed on the Festival site. No drawing of any weaponat any time. Must be 18 years or older to carry a weapon.
